Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
When using PSM 6.** and even 7.**, we used the print function in the program and got the Print dialog box that gave us numerous options for printing. This included the option to split the file. After upgrading to the unlimited license, we no long can use the Print function in the program, we have to use the print to web which gives us no options to print. We need to option to split the file along with the other options that way to print back while keeping the unlimited users? We are kinda lost without these options.

DShank,

The unlimited version does not prevent you from doing File->Print like you always did. Print to Web allows you to print to a printer on a printshop mail web server, but you can still use the normal File->Print.

What happens when you do File->Print? It doesn't work? Does it gives you an error? What happens?

Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre

We get the Print dialog box but it is giving us 25 records to print with the watermark. It is still in 'demo' mode. We set up to read off the server and it did find the 'dongle', but file/print is in demo mode.

DShank,

I see what you mean now. In order to use the local File->Print, you will need to put the dongle on the local machine itself. Right now, the dongle is most likely on the PrintShop Mail Web server, allowing you to use Print to Web, but the regular File->Print will give you 25 credits only since the dongle is on a different machine. Put the dongle back on the local machine to use File->Print.

Is there any way to have this function for more than one PC? Right now we program on 2 machines but we run the templates or files from up to 5 different PC's to 5 different printers. We need all the file/print options for each of the machines we print to. With the dongle now on the server can we remove teh dongle and put it on a PC and have all users read the dongle like with previous versions. As of now we can not use the program the way it is set up. I would like to continue using the Printshop Mail application but will not be able to the way it is set up now.

DShank,

EDIT: The information I've posted regarding version 6 to version 7 license manager was inaccurate. Here's a link regarding the upgrade considerations from 6 to 7:
http://www.objectiflune.com/OL/en-CA/Services/Support/KBArticle.aspx?KB=1501

In the next release 7.1, they should have changed it so that Print to Web will now behave just like File->Print. However, I am not sure when the next release will come out(I believe it is scheduled for early next year, but I have no official release date), so until then, you will either have to get the license manager if you can still get it, or put the dongle locally on the machine when you need to do File->Print.

Raphaël Lalonde Lefebvre
