I whant to use the overflow of data but I don't know what is the line per page I must set in the Data Option. I use a user define emulation data but I don't see more what must be the line per page for any other emulation setting.

I looked at the Overflow presentation and I try to find something in the online help and in the manual and I found nothing about that.

For now I put 99999 lines but I whant to know if there is a beter way.

Thank

Steve,

When you use the overflow in a data selection, the line per page must be at least equal to the number of lines you want to repeat in your file on every data pages. So if you know that your data pages can contain 500 lpp, you need to set the lpp to at least 500. There is no "best" lpp settings, it depends on how many lines you want to repeat in your data file.

Thank Raphael.

Now my problem is when I do a print test, I have many pages at the end with all the constants field and no body field. I reduced my lpp to 200 to have less of them. But how can I dynamically change the lpp.

I try setlpp(¤t.line) in the user data definition to set the lpp to the last line to print but I just can put constant like 150 but I can't put an integer variable. Maybe I don't understand how to work with the Overflow function.

Maybe you can bring me light.

Thank.

Steve,

As far as I know, you do not need to use setlpp when using the overflow. Perhaps it would be easier if you open a new support issue, so then you can upload your form, and it will be easier for me to figure out a solution to your problem.

To open an issue, click on "Report an issue via the web" on the top-left of this page, and then follow the instructions. When you have your issue opened, upload your form, and I will take a look at it.

Regards,
Rapha
