If I change the name of an overlay page, all the pages that use the overlay lose their pointer to it.

I have to go through every page rechecking the box to use the overlay.

I have discovered a rather long workaround based on the fact that when I delete an overlay page, PP5 will reassign all the pointers that call the page to new ones.
Instead of renaming the overlay page, I copy and paste it. I then rename the new version and then delete the old version. PP5 asks which page to use instead of the deleted one and I specify the new one.

Surely PP5 could do this bit of housekeeping automatically?

I am using version 5.3.0.2162.

Hi Stuartg,

Normally, changing the name (not the description) of an overlay page doesn't change the links to it in PP5.3.0.2162. If it does so, then reselecting your overlays, or the other solution you have found, is the way to fix the problem.

Thanks,

Rina
