When adding a truetype font by selecting the font using with the style menu then click ok, the font will default to some other font. The only way we can get it to stay at the font we want is to select the style after having made it and use the Object inspector to change it ti what it's suppose to be.

But is you open that style again using the style menu it will deafult to another different font. Meaning you can never use the Style menu when selecting fonts but have to use the Object inspector.

Is there something we can do to fix this?
No, we can't afford to replace all out Truetype fonts with Postscript ones.

Thanks

Hello,

Hello,

This is a known issue.
The workaround for this is to select the font after (or two depending of the station) the one you need, to get the right one.
i.e. you want to have the font name

Thank you, I've added Courier to the Windows fonts. We had New Courier as the windows default.
I noticed now that the first 250 or so fonts in the font list work the way they're suppose to, it's when you get farther down the list that we have to select the font 2 below the one we really want.
So any font above Helvetica in the list you just select the actual font and it holds it, any font below Helvetica you have to do the work around.
thanks

Now when we select any special character like "TM" is doesn't print or show up in the PDF file. We have tried using the Char() commmand with the decimal number of the character. We have made a special font and put the glyph for the character ina normal letter position like "A". Every time you make a PDF the "TM" disappears.
We apply the encoding to the regular font. Save it, then re-open the font to select the font 2 below it so the proper font is selected in the object inspector. The preview is correct.
Work arounds? We can't make a separate text box because the text has variables in it and the text need to move.

Hello,

Separate text boxes could be snapped together and been adjust through an offset if required. Why not give it a try!

Okay, we'll take the time to make 20 other text boxes with "TM" in them and snap them to get them all to flow through the job.
